The wedding day is the busiest day, and the one where photos go missing fastest. Friends and family drop them into a group chat, a few more messages arrive, and they are gone. Afterwards you end up asking twenty people for the originals, one by one.
Three problems with the group chat
- Photos are scattered through the chat history and painful to gather
- They arrive heavily compressed, so you have to ask for full-size versions separately
- The lovely things people say are spoken once and never kept
A better way: let guests scan and upload
Put a QR code at the welcome table. Guests scan it to join, then shoot, add a filter and leave a message — all from that one scan. Photos and messages are kept together, and after the day you open the roll and reveal everything at once.
The photographer records the main story. The candid frames from your guests are usually the ones that land hardest.
Compared with instant cameras, scanning costs less and nothing gets lost. Compared with a group chat, the memories actually end up on a roll worth keeping.
