A sense of occasion does not have to be bought. More often than not, one small thing that everybody joins in with is what makes an event stick.
Get everyone involved
Put a shared album on the table and invite everyone in the room to shoot and write something. When everybody is a photographer, the atmosphere takes care of itself.
Save one reveal moment
Keep the photos sealed and agree a time to open them all at once — like waiting on a roll of film. Delaying the reveal is the ritual.
